AWE is supporting Responsible Business Week 2015 and celebrating the organisations environmental and sustainability contribution as a responsible business.
Responsible Business Week is organised by Business in the Community (BITC) to raise awareness and champion the powerful role of business in creating a fairer and more sustainable society.
AWE has been working with its employees and local community to further improve the way the company recycles waste and looks to reduce its carbon foot print.
Last year, AWE achieved a number of responsible business goals including recycling, planting over 17,500 trees and shrubs and promoting the company car-sharing scheme to significantly reduce the number of driver-only vehicles on our sites.
Commenting on Responsible Business Week, Haydn Clulow, AWE Site Director said: “This week is extremely important as it recognises the valuable contribution companies make in becoming responsible businesses. AWE continues its efforts to develop environmental and sustainability programmes as well as working with BITC to ensure we remain a responsible business in 2015 and beyond.”
