AWE staff raise £1000 for Movember

AWE Staff grow moustaches for prostate cancer charity

Staff from AWE have raised £1000 for Movember, the charity focused on raising funds for prostate cancer and awareness for men's mental health issues.

Employees from AWE set up a competition to grow a moustache. Participants were requested to pay a minimum of £5 in order to become a judge or a competitor.

In addition fake moustaches were sold, being bought mainly by the females in the team. Funds were raised through the sponsorship of wearing the stick on moustaches for a day.

Michele Maidment, Community Committee secretary AWE comments:

"Staff made a tremendous effort with some very distinguished moustaches on display. We are delighted to have collected in excess of £1000 for this very worthwhile cause. Thank you to everyone who took part."

Movember is committed to changing the face of men's health globally and has an interest in all issues relating to men's health. Photo 1 attached of AWE staff who took part in the Movember event.
