The Assurance division is actually a number of teams with responsibility for Safety, Health, Security, Quality and Environment across the organisation, either as part of the central body, or as part of the operational business area.
With such a wide-ranging remit, the opportunities here span the range of science, engineering and business disciplines. Here are a few examples of the roles we recruit for in Assurance:
Safety Case
This role involves the production of safety cases for some of the most technically advanced projects in the country. Other duties can include periodic safety reviews and carrying out bespoke assessments of novel techniques and new technologies.
Environmental
Our Environmentalists help us to lead the way in terms of our company’s environmental performance. They develop their careers by becoming acknowledged company experts, by developing a broader assurance capability or by managing projects and facilities.
Health Physicists
Health Physicists have the vital role of helping our people work with radiation in a safe manner. They work with our Radiation Protection Advisers to support our wide range of projects and operations.
