Leading for the future AWE

It’s the role of leaders throughout AWE to make sure we are all working towards a common goal and that the line of sight from individual to company objectives is clear.

For a number of years we have been focused on leadership development to make sure our managers and team leaders have the tools and guidance they need to operate independently on a day-to-day basis. We also encourage them to attend seminars and workshops that will help them develop their skills as a community, form strong peer groups and promote best practice ways of working.

We have also adopted the principles of partnership working. Most of our people have attended workshops on partnership working in recent years. The result of this more inclusive leadership style is that staff at all levels now feel more committed and involved in the decision-making process.
