Pay and grading structure AWE

We use a pay and grading structure that’s designed to make sure all of our people are recognised and rewarded for the contribution they make and the skills and experience they bring. This common framework applies across the whole company and is made up of these key elements:

  • Job Description – role, tasks and responsibilities of individual jobs. 
  • Job Profile – the technical and managerial demands of a range of jobs.
  • Job Families – grouping of broadly similar jobs regardless of their position in organisation.
  • Broadbands – hierarchy of jobs based on responsibility.
  • Pay Ranges – define the right pay level for jobs within each Job Family and Broadband. 

When setting pay levels for the various Job Families and Broadbands, we always take into account the external marketplace to make sure we are offering fair and competitive rewards within our total package of benefits. The same goes for our system of pay increases as well as the various allowances and overtime payments.
