We have a wide variety of opportunities at AWE for talented science, engineering and technology postgraduates. You’ll find yourself working on world-leading research projects using the latest technologies and scientific models. As well as applying your skills in new areas, this is a chance to develop entirely new skills.
You’ll be assigned to a business area that matches your skills and career ambitions. From then on, you’ll work closely with your line manager and mentor to create a personal development plan and develop your skills through classroom-based training and practical learning. If you need to gain professional qualifications or join a professional body, we’ll provide sponsorship and study leave.
Longer term, you will spend more time focusing on practical work within a specialist area or take on the challenge of a technical leadership role. If you move into an area unrelated to your previous study, we’ll make sure you have all the extra training you need.
