AWE announced Gold winners at IHR Awards!

We are thrilled to announce AWE as Gold winners in the ‘Candidate Assessment’ category at the prestigious In-house Recruitment awards. The award recognises the highly innovative, skills-based solution that was implemented for our Apprenticeship hiring in 2021-22.

AWE’s Future Careers Team, in partnership with the Skills Academy, worked with Spotted Zebra to create a unique skills profile match and associated assessment for each of the 17 apprenticeship schemes; matching candidates to the best fit scheme based on their personal profile, and then using the insights gained at each stage to make the final selection decisions on candidates. This approach enabled us to significantly reduce the time to hire through the process in 2021/22 and was designed to capture high potential candidates and improve new hire retention rates.

Charlotte Jury, Apprenticeship Recruitment Lead said “This is a fantastic achievement showing the incredible partnership between AWE and Spotted Zebra for the apprentice recruitment campaign”
