Building Services Engineers create a safe, healthy and comfortable environment in which people can live, work and achieve: Imagine yourself in the most fabulous building in the world. Now take away the lighting, heating and ventilation, the lifts and escalators, acoustics, plumbing, power supply and energy management systems, the security and safety systems. You are left in a cold, dark uninhabitable shell. Building Services Engineers bring buildings to life.

AWE has an exciting future in building and infrastructure projects. The Design and Construction Management Degree Apprentice will give you the knowledge, skills and behaviours to lead and manage a wide range of different building and infrastructure projects. While working at AWE you will act as the pivotal link between designers, such as architects or engineers, and construction teams and project stakeholders. Alongside academic studies, working in a live environment, you will build a fundamental understanding of both construction and architectural principles and practices. You will also hone your skills in a range of disciplines including Design Development, specifications and information management, project management, value management and maintenance of safety/regulatory standards. It will also stand you in good stead for future roles with experience in working in different teams and with people from all levels of the organisation.

I am not one for exams and the educational route through college with assignments really appealed to me.
