The application process
We want you to shine in your application so our recruitment process is designed to be fair and transparent.
Our aim is to make you feel confident and informed throughout your journey with us: we’re not trying to catch you out. Step 1 – Online application
Year in Industry applications are now live. Apply today.
Apprenticeship applications open on the 12th October.
Graduate applications open on the 2nd November.
Apply for one pathway; take your time to explore the options and choose the one that best matches your interests and goals.

Step 2 – Online assessment
If your application is successful, you’ll be invited to complete our online assessment stage. This includes a series of numerical, verbal, logical and problem-solving assessments designed to help us understand your strengths and potential. You’ll have access to practice assessments beforehand, giving you the chance to familiarise yourself with the format and understand what to expect.

Step 3 – Virtual assessment centre
If you’re successful at the online testing stage, you’ll be invited to one of our virtual Assessment Centres taking place throughout November and December 2025. We’ll provide all the information you need in advance and guide you through each stage of the process.
You’ll also be invited to a pre-Assessment Centre webinar where you can meet the team, find out what to expect and pick up tips to help you prepare.

Step 4 – Your offer
Congratulations, you’re one step closer to joining AWE.
Your next step is security clearance, funded by AWE. This process may involve completing forms, providing ID and, in some cases, attending an interview or medical assessment.
We’ll stay in touch throughout the process and keep you updated on your progress. Once complete, you’ll be ready to start your career working on projects that make a real difference.
