Non-Executive Director

Kirsty Armer is a Non-Executive Director and chairs AWE’s Safety, Sustainability and Quality committee. Kirsty is a Chartered Director with extensive experience of developing and delivering strategic transformation in the civil nuclear industry. As a Fellow of the Nuclear Institute and of the Institute of Directors and Visiting Professor in Nuclear Fuel Engineering at the University of Manchester Dalton Nuclear Institute, Kirsty has held a wide portfolio of technical, operational and commercial executive leadership roles in the UK and internationally, most recently as Vice President of Westinghouse Environmental Services UK.

She is a Trustee of the Nuclear Institute; has served on the boards of Springfields Fuels Ltd and Westinghouse Electric Company UK Limited; and is a previous member of NIRAB. Kirsty holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Manchester, an MBA from Lancaster University and the IOD Diploma in Board Direction.
