Our engineering team plays a pivotal role in ensuring we deliver on our mission.
There are several opportunities available across multiple disciplines, each giving you the chance to apply your technical skills to solve real-world challenges and contribute to innovative solutions in a dynamic operational environment.
Due to the nature of our work, we can’t provide technical details of the individual placements, but rest assured you will be doing remarkably interesting things. Our work is of the highest national security so you must be a British Citizen to apply.

LOCATION: ALDERMASTON NEAR READING
You’ll be based at our Aldermaston site near Reading.
We work a nine-day fortnight. That means every other Friday off work + 270 hours of annual leave.

The opportunity
The roles available are exciting and varied, you could play a role in the unique world of nuclear warhead design and commissioning multi-million pound civil and construction projects.
You could work on analytical modelling, Virtual Reality (VR) resting, additive manufacturing and many more.
You’ll collaborate with industry experts and like-minded people on challenging problems to help practice and develop your skills.
What you’ll learn
ENGINEERING DESIGN | SYSTEMS | MANUFACTURING
You’ll gain a strong understanding and experience of engineering design, systems, process and manufacturing that can be applied across many industries.
You will learn about AWE and if you would like to can develop a pathway to re-join us once you graduate on our graduate programme.
