Your mission

£31,000 + BENEFITS | PERMANENT ROLE WITH FUNDED 12-MONTH MSc

Distinct from our Evolve graduate development programme, our Engineering Masters Scheme offers a route for early career engineers who want a focused path to become a technical specialist.

This year we are offering opportunities in two specialisms: Construction Management and Pulsed Power.

By joining AWE’s annual Engineering Masters Scheme, you will receive accelerated training to become a technical specialist. From there, you can create your onward career pathway, with supported professional development to chartership and beyond. If you’re looking for a focused role with intrigue, where you really make a difference to the safety and security of the UK, then now is the time to join.

The work we undertake at AWE is of the highest national security. To apply you’ll need to be a British Citizen and to have had the UK as your primary place of residence for the past ten years.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR THOSE:

•    Newly graduated in engineering, construction or physics
•    Graduated in the last few years but not yet secured a permanent role
•    1 – 3 years into their post-graduation technical career

YOU’LL STUDY:

Either an MSc in Construction Management at the University or Reading or Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Loughborough University.

•    £31,000 salary & permanent employment at AWE
•    Your MSc course fees paid for
•    Generous holiday entitlement and excellent pension scheme
•    Support to gain chartership

Construction Management

You will manage the design and delivery of new, cutting-edge, high-hazard, safety-critical facilities and the upgrade of legacy facilities. You’ll interact with stakeholders across the business, contractors and wider partners during very long-term build programmes.

This offers a full-time, 12-month taught MSc in Construction Management at the University of Reading, and requires at least a 2:2 in your first degree.

Pulsed Power

This provides an opportunity to develop wide-ranging electrical and electronics skills to become a highly versatile asset across AWE’s engineering business.

You will hone a deep understanding in the area of pulsed power and contribute to AWE’s nationally leading work in this field.

This offers a full-time 12-month MSc in Electronic and Electrical Engineering at Loughborough University, and requires at least a 2:2 in your first degree.
