Pledge to Plant

AWE Charity Fund has made a donation to support the Woodland’s Trust Pledge to Plant a million trees for The Big Climate Fightback campaign.

As part of AWE’s commitment to be a responsible business we have donated over 400 tree saplings to our staff and local community in exchange for a small donation to our local charity partner Thrive, on 28 November. We are delighted to support the national campaign which intends to plant one million trees on 30 November, in order to fight climate change.

AWE graduates Ben, Muir and Bhaumik who are managing the project said:

“We’ve really enjoyed being involved with the Pledge to Plant campaign that is tackling a cause which is close to all of us, climate change. It is great to work for a responsible business that not only supports local charity’s such as Thrive, but also gets involved with national campaigns such as Woodland Trust’s ‘The Big Climate Fightback’ campaign. Organising and running the Pledge to Plant campaign has been an excellent opportunity for our professional development and has improved our understanding of the business”.
