Manufacturing momentum: powering a resilient future

We are pleased to announce that AWE has been featured in a major publication called Manufacturing momentum: powering a resilient future’ produced by the National Centre for Universities and Business (NCUB), which celebrates and shares contributions from industry members covering themes of national interest and relevance.

In this latest ‘collaborative series’ booklet, there are two AWE articles, one of which discusses our partnership with Imperial College London, focusing on advanced manufacturing, and the other gives an overview of materials science – including our university collaborations and their importance to our mission.

AWE Head of External Partnerships Office, Toni Lilly, said: “This is the first time that AWE has been featured in this highly acclaimed publication produced by the NCUB. It is testament to the investments we are making in our strategic partnerships and collaborations with UK universities and industry to support our technical strategy and future capability.

“It is great to see the NCUB recognise AWE’s contribution in this way and the role of the defence sector, in advancing science and technology, where partnerships are at the heart of the Government’s ambitions for growth and skills.”
