Mark Wild

Non-Executive Director

Mark Wild OBE FREng has more than 35 years of experience leading complex and critical infrastructure programmes. An engineer by trade, he has led projects in the public and private sector with a proven track record in numerous international jurisdictions. Mark is the former Managing Director of Westinghouse Signals and CEO of Public Transport Victoria in Australia. After a period as Managing Director for the London Underground, Mark assumed the CEO role at Crossrail Ltd, successfully delivering the Elizabeth Line in May 2022. In May 2024, Mark was appointed CEO of HS2 Ltd to lead the completion of Britain’s biggest infrastructure programme.

Mark graduated from Newcastle Polytechnic in 1987 with a BSc Honours in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He later received an MBA with distinction from the University of Leeds in 1997.

Mark is a Chartered Electrical Engineer and a Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET). In 2023, Mark received an OBE in New Year Honours for services to public transport and was made a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.
