AWE’s estate must continue to support complex programmes safely and effectively for years to come. On this programme, you will help turn business needs, asset information, energy data and investment options into long-term plans for a future-ready estate.
Your work will help inform how infrastructure is renewed, optimised and made more sustainable, balancing capability, cost, risk, performance and environmental outcomes.
Our work is of the highest national security so you must be a British Citizen to apply.

You must be aged 18 or over before the programme starts.
You must be available to join AWE in September 2027.

You’ll collaborate with project teams, operational users and technical specialists, developing the knowledge and confidence to make evidence-based decisions that deliver lasting value for the organisation.

ESTATE STRATEGIES | ASSET MANAGEMENT
During this programme, you’ll develop a strong understanding of how estates and infrastructure are planned, managed and improved to support long-term organisational goals. You’ll learn how estate strategies and asset management plans are developed and governed, and how infrastructure investment decisions balance cost, risk, performance and future capability.
Through hands-on experience, you’ll build skills in requirements capture, options appraisal, data analysis and evidence-based decision-making, while gaining insight into how strategic planning aligns with project delivery and operational priorities. You’ll also explore energy management, sustainability, carbon reduction and environmental performance across a complex estate, developing the confidence to engage with stakeholders and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
